September is Emergency Preparedness Month and IUSD would like to take this opportunity to encourage families and students to be prepared. 
IUSD broke ground on Cadence Park School, on September 7, 2017. Once built, this state-of-the-art education facility will be the District's fourth K-8 and its 40th school.

The National Weather Service has issued an excessive heat warning for Southern California this week, with temperatures expected to rise into the triple digits in parts of the county.

The solar eclipse is a unique opportunity to spark your child’s interest in science.  In this article are links to resources and information about the eclipse, including how and when to watch the eclipse safely.
IUSD's 2017-18 Annual Update includes information about the first Series I Measure E projects, which are being implemented at six schools this summer, information about the Citizens Oversight Committee, schools that are receiving Measure E funds by series, and other general Measure E information.
Measure E projects continue to move forward at six IUSD elementary schools. 
IUSD will host a blended learning information night for parents of students entering grades K-6 interested in Independent Study options on Wednesday, July 19 from 6-7 p.m.

The AQMD has issued an advisory that the air quality is moderate and in areas not affected by smoke activities may resume.  At this time, there is no detectible smoke in the Irvine area.  As a result, IUSD has lifted the advisory and all District outdoor activities are open.  If you have a question, about if your child’s…
