Westpark Elementary hosted a dedication and open house to showcase the school’s recently completed Measure E upgrades. These exciting upgrades will enhance teaching and learning for current and future generations of students.

IUSD offers a Construction Design pathway for students and is hosting an open house and BBQ for the community to learn more on  August 29 from 3-4 p.m. at the Creekside Learning Center.  Join us for food and fun in the new state-of-the-art construction classroom.

As a result of the power outage, the City of Irvine has set up a Care and Reception Center at Northwood High School, 4515 Portola Parkway. The facility will be available as a cooling center or for those who need shelter.

August is National Wellness Month.  While every day should be wellness day, more often than not, we get caught up in our busy lives and wellness can take a back seat.  This article provides wellness tips and information for students and families.

IUSD has partnered with the Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) on a water safety campaign for Irvine.  This article includes links to drowning prevention information and handouts from OCFA in five languages.

As part of Earth Month this past April, IUSD’s Sustainability team held a poster contest, asking students to create a poster demonstrating the theme “Zero Waste Lunch.” Students focused on reducing, reusing and recycling through this creative process. 

In addition to producing the most District champions, Sierra Vista continued its impressive record, producing the most state champions in California. Lakeside Middle School and University High School will also advance to the national competition.
