Five IUSD teachers have been recognized by Orange County Music and Arts Administrators (OCMAA) as outstanding arts educators.

IUSD’s Brianne Ford, Assistant Superintendent of IT, was recognized and celebrated by education IT professionals throughout the state.
Nearly 30 percent of OC National Merit Scholarship Semifinalists are IUSD Students. These talented students have an opportunity to continue in the competition for 7,140 scholarships worth nearly $28M.
 With only nine schools in Orange County to make the California top 100 "Best High Schools" ranking, IUSD was the only OC school district to have four schools in the top 100 ranking.  
In addition to taking top honors, several students took home national awards and Venado Middle School teacher Hector Gamboa was nominated as a national teacher of the year!
IUSD’s sustainability team held an Earth Day poster contest and asked students to create an original work of art on a poster or create a video demonstrating the theme, “Fighting Climate Change by Reducing Food Waste.”
IUSD students awarded the State Seal of Biliteracy achieved proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in one or more languages in addition to English.
IUSD filmmakers shine a spotlight on mental health, with Woodbridge HS placing first and University HS placing third in their respective categories at state competition.
IUSD shines at CA National History Day with 15 of the 18 OC championship projects advancing to nationals. Venado's Mr. Gamboa was named the state’s Patricia Behring Teacher of the Year!
Mrs. Donavan is among seven California educators to earn this highest honor bestowed by the U.S. government for science, mathematics, engineering and computer science teaching.
