Irvine Unified School District was named a top-ranking district, ranking as the 14th best school district in California out of 504 districts and the No. 1 best school district in Orange County by Niche, according to their 2024 Best School Districts in California list. University High School was also named a top 10 public high school in California according to Niche’s 2024 Best Schools in America list.
IUSD serves more than 37,000 students across 45 schools. The District was recognized for its diverse student body and offers a wide range of academic, visual and performing arts, and athletic programs.
The Niche Best Public High Schools ranking is based on rigorous analysis of academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with test scores, diversity, teachers and college preparation. University High School's achievement underscores its commitment to providing an outstanding educational experience that also encourages a well-rounded student body.
