Five IUSD teachers have been recognized by Orange County Music and Arts Administrators (OCMAA) as outstanding arts educators.
The 2024 OCMAA Orange County Outstanding Arts Educator Awards celebrate educators who have demonstrated outstanding commitment, innovation and excellence in fostering artistic growth and development among students.
The 2024 honorees are:

Awardees will be officially recognized during the ceremony scheduled for February 2024. Irvine High School’s dance team, led by dance teacher Sheryl Sloate, will perform during the ceremony. Sloate was a 2023 awardee in the dance category.
OCMAA is dedicated to promoting quality, equity and access to arts programs for all students. These values are rooted in comprehensive district arts plans, dynamic community collaborations and inspired, informed leadership.
