September is PTA Membership Month. As a PTA Member, you join a community of parents, teachers, and advocates dedicated to supporting students, enhancing school programs, and making a positive impact on education.

The National Merit Scholarship Corporation recently announced that 245 Orange County students have been named semifinalists, 89 of which are IUSD students.

IUSD's Student Board Members represent each of the District’s five comprehensive high schools and serve in an advisory capacity by participating in discussions and providing valuable insights.

IUSD fall sports are in full swing, and our student-athletes are ready to showcase their skills, determination, and teamwork. We invite the IUSD Community to come out and cheer them on!

This free annual event will assist students in grades 6 through 12 working on science fair projects by providing an opportunity to talk with local scientists, engineers, and IUSD science teachers.

September is Emergency Preparedness Month. Please take a moment to read about how IUSD prepares for emergencies, tips for your own preparedness and key resources from the Irvine Police Department.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Orange County, including Irvine, from Wednesday, September 4 through Monday, September 9. IUSD outdoor activities will be modified accordingly.

On behalf of the IUSD Board of Education, administrators, and staff, we are excited to welcome our new and returning students to the 2024-25 school year. We are dedicated to developing the whole child so they are equipped with the attitudes, skills, and knowledge to meet their academic and personal goals within IUSD and beyond.
