Jenna Berumen has been selected as Principal of Loma Ridge Elementary, the Irvine Unified School District’s newest school set to open in the community of Portola Springs in August 2019.

Irvine High School’s Archana Jain has been named one of six Orange County Teacher of the Year Finalist by the Orange County Department of Education. 

With the passage of the California Voting Rights Act, many school districts and other municipalities throughout the state have gone through a process to consider their election method systems. As the next step in this process, the District has published three draft trustee area maps.

Brywood Elementary, Deerfield Elementary, Plaza Vista School, and Turtle Rock Elementary have been named 2018 California Distinguished Schools.  This designation is the state’s top honor for schools.
