IUSD teachers and staff interrupted their much deserved summer break to attend the District’s first annual STEM Conference. This two-day event focused on student ownership of learning for grades TK-12. Sessions were taught by IUSD’s STEM and Education Technology departments, in addition to IUSD teachers! Some of the many sessions included:

- Inquiry-Based Learning
- Tools Promoting Student Voice and Choice
- Early Learning and Coding with LEGO Education
- Teaching Students to Ask Their Own Questions
- Student Engagement with the Engineering Design Process
- Engaging Students in Mystery Science
- Conditions for Success: Setting Up a Secondary Math Classroom
- STEAM Through Picture Books
