As part of IUSD’s commitment to regularly engage with government, business and community leaders, Superintendent Walker met with the Irvine Chamber's Government Affairs Committee to provide an update on the state of education in IUSD.
Each quarter, IUSD’s Irvine Parent Education Program hosts Timely Topics to engage and inform families about a variety of IUSD-related initiatives and programs.   These helpful meetings are free, open to the IUSD community and offer language support services. 
As part of Emergency Preparedness Month, the District would like to remind our families to Stay Connected to IUSD during an emergency for updates and information in real time, 24/7.

Westpark Elementary hosted a dedication and open house to showcase the school’s recently completed Measure E upgrades. These exciting upgrades will enhance teaching and learning for current and future generations of students.

IUSD's Professional Learning Day was focused on providing educators with strategies for assessing student learning and outcomes, as well as ways to identify learning targets.
During the summer months, children benefit from rest and relaxation, but it’s also helpful to prevent the loss of learning.  This article offers ideas for fun summer learning opportunities.  
USD teachers and staff interrupted their much deserved summer break to attend the District’s first annual STEM Conference.  This two-day event focused on student ownership of learning for grades TK-12.
