As part of IUSD's inclusive and proactive planning for the 2020-21 school year, the District has identified and allocated more than $21 million for health and safety measures.  As we prepare to welcome back more than 22,000 students to our campuses and classrooms this article details IUSD process and investments.
May 18-22 is Classified School Employee Appreciation Week.  The IUSD Board of Education and Superintendent Terry Walker have recorded a special video message to share the District's deepest appreciation for our classified employees' dedication and professionalism.  
Although your students may not be able to go to sports practice, music lessons, art classes or other enrichment classes, they can still hone their skills and learn at home.  
Last week IUSD students and schools celebrated Earth Day, Read a Book to a Pet Day and World Book Day, while continuing distance learning, engaging in school spirit activities, and sharing important resources and information.

Meadow Park and Brywood recently hosted open houses and dedication ceremonies on their campuses to showcase their schools’ recently completed Measure E upgrades.

As a result of the power outage, the City of Irvine has set up a Care and Reception Center at Northwood High School, 4515 Portola Parkway. The facility will be available as a cooling center or for those who need shelter.
Your input is critical to IUSD’s decision-making process and will help guide investments in the District’s priorities.
