For the eighth consecutive year, IUSD has been named one of the nation’s Best Communities for Music Education by the NAMM Foundation. IUSD joins only four percent of school districts nationwide to receive this prestigious honor for its commitment to music and education.

Following social distancing guidelines is critically important to support public health but so is staying socially connected. Check out this article for a few ideas. 
Education is an essential service.  During the closure of IUSD schools and facilities, the District will continue to provide free breakfasts and lunches to any IUSD student who needs them.  Read this article to learn more and for additional community resources for families impacted by the COVID-19 health crisis.  
The outbreak of COVID-19 can result in stress, especially for students who may be struggling to process fear and anxiety related to the disease.  This article includes information and resources, which may be helpful for students and families. 
Education is an essential service.  IUSD's Emergency Distance Learning opportunities will continue as planned.  Please check your email for information from your students’ schools and teachers.
While District Chromebooks or devices are not needed to access Emergency Distance Learning (EDL) they are available for students who do not have access to devices at home.  
IUSD started the month off right on Monday, March 2, 2020 by focusing on literacy and reading for Read Across America Day. To celebrate this day, each year several District schools invite special guests to read their favorite children’s books to elementary students.
