Mental Health & Wellness

The District provides school-based mental health/wellness services and resources to students and families. These services include short-term individual or group counseling for students at the school site; short-term, solution-focused therapy for students and families through the IUSD Family Counseling Center; and resource linkages to community-based mental health or social services for students and families. Services are provided by counselors or licensed mental health professionals.

If you have private insurance, consider calling your carrier for a referral list that matches your child's needs. Please use discretion in selecting a mental health provider.   A message from IUSD MENTAL HEALTH & WELLNESS Dear IUSD Community Members, To help provide additional support to our community, the District has partnered with Care Solace. Through Care Solaces' services families and staff can quickly find verified mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse treatment options matched to their needs regardless of circumstances or insurance coverage. Care Solaces' team is available 24/7 and can support you in any language. If you would like Care Solace to help you find a provider: Call (888) 515-0595  Go to the IUSD Care Solace page to find out more information Visit Caresolace.com/site/iusd/ and either search on your own, or click "Book Appointment" for assistance by video chat, email, or phone. Email weserve@caresolace.org with the following information: Your name and contact information (telephone number) Your preferred language A good time for Care Solace to contact you Care Solace will assign a personal Care Concierge to support you through the process of finding mental health care. Your Care Concierge will identify available providers who accept your insurance which include private, Medi-Cal, sliding scale, or cost-free options. They will also help you book an appointment and check-in afterward to see if you like the provider or need additional support.
