Irvine Parent Education Programs (IPEP) are FREE seminars and educational workshops offered to Irvine parents/caregivers throughout the school year. Our goal is to empower parents/guardians with the skills and strategies necessary to become active participants in their student’s education.

English Learner Supports in IUSD: Office Hours

 

Is your student an English Learner? This month IUSD’s Community Liaisons will be sharing information with families of English Learners regarding the supports offered at school for students to learn English. 

 

Join us to ask your questions during Office Hours held at the IUSD Parent Center (155 Visions, Building 2) from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.:

Presented by OCDE,  created in partnership with youth leaders across Orange County, this unique offering includes important information, resources, and the youth perspective. Please join IUSD in partnership with Seneca Family of Agencies for a workshop on Boundary and Expectation Setting. This workshop is designed to equip participants with tools and strategies to establish healthy boundaries and expectations. Participants will learn to consider various perspectives when establishing appropriate rules and consequences. Participants will learn how to be responsive vs. reactive by being challenged to self-reflect on their own behaviors.

Please join IUSD in partnership with TASK for a workshop on Navigating the ITP and Adult Services. This workshop helps to understand the Individual Transition Plan (ITP) and guides the child’s journey from school to post-school life. Learn about post-secondary education, job opportunities, adult services, and community involvement. Discover the criteria and processes for Department of Rehabilitation and Regional Center applications.  Plus, explore the various support options for independent living and community engagement.
