Nearly 100 IUSD students were selected for various prestigious California All-State Honors Ensembles and performed at the California All-State Music Education Conference in Sacramento.
In total, 99 IUSD students, across various grade levels, earned placement in these highly competitive ensembles, representing an elite group of student musicians. In addition, one IUSD student was selected to participate in the Choral Leadership Academy student conductor program.
During the conference, students spent several days in rigorous rehearsals, collaborating with and learning from renowned professional conductors and music educators. The California All-State Music Education Conference is an annual, statewide event organized by the California Music Educators Association (CMEA). It brings together the top student musicians, music educators, conductors, and arts advocates from across California.
“These achievements were a testament to the dedication and hard work of the students, the expertise and commitment of IUSD music teachers, and the strong support provided by school site leadership,” commented Arts IUSD Director Erin Zoumaras.
Join us in congratulating our IUSD students and music educators!
