National School Counseling Week, Feb. 1-5

IUSD National School Counseling Week

National School Counseling Week, "School Counselors: All In for All Students," and is from Feb. 1-5 and focuses public attention on the unique contribution of school counselors within school systems. It is an opportunity to highlight the tremendous impact school counselors can have in helping students achieve school success and plan for a career.

The mission of IUSD School Counselors, grades 7-12, is to provide a comprehensive program that addresses the academic, social/emotional, and college and career development of all students, following the model of the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) and the California Association of School Counselors (CASC).

School Counselors work in partnership with other educators, parents/guardians, and community resources to support all students.  This partnership helps ensure that all students have the opportunities they need to acquire the knowledge and skills to meet their highest potential, become lifelong learners, and responsible, contributing citizens in our community.
