Woodbridge High School has placed third in the California Academic Decathlon! Fresh off winning its fifth Orange County Academic Decathlon in six years, the nine-member WHS squad finished the state-level contest to beat out all but two of 84 schools.  
After a two year hiatus, IUSD's  honors ensemble chorus and orchestra returned in-person for the annual Donald Bren Honors Concert.  As part of the celebration the Irvine Company presented IUSD with the latest $2M installment of their $45M commitment to IUSD students.  
For the fifth time in six years, Woodbridge High School has won the Orange County Academic Decathlon.  With its victory, Woodbridge is headed back to the California Academic Decathlon in March.
IUSD students in grades 6-12 participated in the District’s 41st annual virtual Science Fair and presented an impressive array of projects.  IUSD will advance 143 students to the Orange County Science and Engineering Fair in March and 28 IUSD students will advance to the 2022 Broadcom MASTERS.

IUSD has once again been ranked the top school district in Orange County and one of the best in California, according to a new report by the review site Niche.  The ranking is based on a variety of factors including state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, diversity and student life on campus.
IUSD broke ground on Solis Park, the District’s soon-to-be fifth K-8 school on September 1, 2021.  This state-of-the-art education facility is expected to open August 2022 and will serve the Great Park Neighborhoods. 
Sierra Vista Middle School students Erin Hwang and Nagyung (Anna) Cho earned first place in the Junior Group Website category at this year’s National History Day competition and Sierra Vista classmate Hannah Cho was honored as a national finalist in the Junior Individual Documentary category.
