Lights, camera, accolades. Northwood High School students recently earned first-place honors in four separate divisions of a national competition that recognizes excellence in filmmaking, video production and broadcast journalism.
The City of Irvine recently dropped its lawsuit against the Irvine Unified School District over a proposed second district stadium, set to be built at Uni High.
Paul Mills, IUSD’s longtime director of Alternative and Adult Education, has been named an Administrator of the Year by the Association of California School Administrators.
In December, University High grad Garrett Atkins signed a deal with the Baltimore Orioles, following seven standout years with the Colorado Rockies.
University High Athletic Director Mark Cunningham has been named a 2009-10 CIF Model Coach Award winner – a distinction earned by only 13 coaches in the state.
And IUSD's High School Teacher of the Year is ... Jeanne Jelnick, the popular English teacher at Uni.
Add Thomas Hsu to the growing list of IUSD students who have earned perfect scores on the SAT. Hsu, a junior at University High School, recently learned that he aced every multiple-choice question on the famed college entrance exam.
