Woodbridge High School (WHS) Entertainment Corps has once again demonstrated its musical and visual arts excellence by capturing the California State Band Championships (CSBC) title for Division 6A, earning first place for the eighth year in the past decade. WHS secured an impressive score of 91.95, edging out the competition by just 0.1 points.

In addition to the championship title, every student in the ensemble received a medal in recognition of their hard work and performance. The percussion section delivered a standout performance, earning the award for High Percussion. Zachariah Hufford was also honored with the Top Soloist Award and received a $500 scholarship for his exceptional musicianship.
This year’s success extends well beyond the state championship. WHS also won tournament sweepstakes at every competition they attended, including Capistrano Valley and San Clemente, showcasing consistent excellence throughout the entire season.
The success of the team is also shared with the dedicated teachers and coaches who tirelessly guide, teach and support our students. A special thank you also goes out to the incredible parent volunteers. From field show supporters and percussion movers to concession stand workers, hair and makeup helpers, truck drivers and countless other roles, your dedication and hard work make moments like these possible for our students.
