The boys soccer team at University High School captured the CIF Southern Section Division 4 Championship this past Saturday with a decisive shutout victory over Granite Hills.
Led by strong play on both sides of the field, the Trojans secured the title with goals from seniors Ryan H., Jake R., and Pavlos M. The win marks a major milestone for the program and caps off a successful postseason run.
With the championship victory, University High earned a first-round home game in the CIF Southern California Regional playoffs. The Trojans are set to face Animo Leadership Charter High School at 5 p.m. tomorrow as they continue their postseason campaign.
The championship victory also reflects the dedication and leadership of the team’s coaching staff, whose preparation, strategy, and commitment helped guide the Trojans throughout the season and into a championship performance. Their efforts played a key role in developing the team’s success on the field.
Community members are encouraged to cheer on the Trojans as they take on the regional tournament.
