The Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) is proud to announce our 40th Annual Science Showcase, featuring a range of innovative science projects from IUSD students in grades 6-12, including students enrolled in both the Irvine Virtual Academy and in-person instruction. Sponsored by the Irvine Public Schools Foundation, in partnership with the Broadcom Foundation, this year's science showcase will be hosted virtually from January 29 to February 12. District office staff and teacher advisors will evaluate each project to determine which are eligible to advance to the virtual Orange County Science and Engineering Fair. All students will receive certificates that honor their participation. In past years, only some projects advanced from school sites to the District Science Fair. This year, all projects are showcased on the District's website and can be accessed by visiting our Science Programs and Events webpage.
"We are so proud of the high numbers of students who are participating in the showcase," said IUSD Director of STEM, Chris Weber. "It is a testament to our students' commitment and to the reputation of the Science Fair that has been established over the last four decades. We are grateful that the event is once again sponsored by the Irvine Public Schools Foundation, in partnership with the Broadcom Foundation."
