A pair of distinguished -- and distinct -- musicians who graduated from IUSD high schools will share a stage on Aug. 14 for a rare benefit concert to support music education in Irvine.

Jazz pianist Jeremy Siskind, who recently debuted at Carnegie Hall, and singer/songwriter Kenton Chen, musical director of The Backbeats from NBC’s “The Sing-Off, are jointly headlining the upcoming “Two Views, One Night” concert presented by the Irvine Public Schools Foundation. The show begins at 7 p.m. in the theater at Irvine High School, which is located at 4321 Walnut Ave. Tickets are $10 each, and they can be purchased by calling 949-265-6401. Proceeds will assist IPSF's ongoing efforts to support music programs in IUSD, and we're told CDs will also be sold at the event. For more information, click on the flier above.
