More than 600 students in IUSD's honors ensemble chorus and orchestra performed in the District’s 40th annual Donald Bren Honors Concert. The District also received a $2 million contribution from the Irvine Company in support of educational excellence.
On Tuesday, April 16, more than 600 IUSD students will participate in the 40th Annual Donald Bren Honors Concert, which is a signature event for the District and a reflection of IUSD’s commitment to music and the arts.

The CubeSat Program is a project-based learning collaboration between IUSD, industry partners, non-profit organizations and parent volunteers to teach, train and inspire the next generation of STEM professionals.

This free annual event will assist students in grades 6 through 12, who are working on science fair projects.  Students will have an opportunity to talk with local scientists and engineers, along with IUSD science teachers.
Staying connected to family, friends and community is critical for social and emotional wellness, especially over the summer months, when students may not see friends and others as often as during the school year. This article features some examples and local resources for creating connectedness.  
IUSD would like to thank our community for participating in the 50th Anniversary Photo Contest. With more than 200 photo submissions, there was a broad range of outstanding photos that creatively captured the many wonderful and different aspects of our District.  
Last week there was a lot of Good News Around the District. Students were honored for their achievements, our schools made videos that really moved us, and teachers, staff and families continued to find ways to connect and engage, while prioritizing mental health, kindness and gratitude.
