IUSD recently received the Leroy F. Greene Design & Planning Award of Honor to recognize Solis Park K-8 School for its innovative design elements and flexible and collaborative learning environments.
WellSpaces are designed to help students manage daily stresses and support their social emotional wellbeing and academic successes. New spaces include Creekside HS, Lake Side MS, Plaza Vista K-8 and Rancho MS.
IUSD would like to thank our community for participating in the 50th Anniversary Photo Contest. With more than 200 photo submissions, there was a broad range of outstanding photos that creatively captured the many wonderful and different aspects of our District.  
During the June 7, 2022 IUSD Board of Education Meeting, the District hosted a School Safety Presentation to share information about IUSD’s comprehensive approach to safety and emergency preparedness.  The video and presentation are now available.  
The Children’s Hospital of Orange County has received a $2 million gift from the Tsao Family Foundation to work in collaboration with the Orange County Department of Education to establish 17 WellSpaces on IUSD secondary school campuses over the next four years.
May 15-21 is Classified School Employee Appreciation Week.  IUSD appreciates each employee for their unwavering commitment to serve our schools and students. 
IUSD has placed educational excellence and equity at the center of its Measure E planning and projects with a focus of bringing all IUSD schools up to a similar standard. This article provides updates and information about Measure E projects to date.

Now in its 52nd year, Earth Day is an opportunity to reflect on environmental awareness, education and sustainability efforts to reduce pollution and waste for a healthier, cleaner environment.
