Your Voice Matters: IUSD Annual Survey Open Through Feb. 2

Annual Survey Roadmap to Success

The District’s Annual Survey is open through Friday, February 2. Your participation is crucial and provides IUSD with important feedback about school climate and where funding and resources are focused through the LCAP process. Feedback and responses play a vital role in developing a roadmap for success to enhance educational experiences within the District.

About the Annual Survey

The Annual Survey tells us what is important to our families, students and staff. Your feedback is essential in helping the District identify areas where we are excelling and areas where we need to improve. Survey topics include parent/guardian engagement, the teaching and learning environment at your child’s school, bullying, homework, student stress levels, school climate, and your child’s overall educational experience, among other topics.

The Annual Survey is available in multiple languages. Responses are anonymous and it only takes a few minutes to complete the survey. Survey topics include parent/guardian engagement, the teaching and learning environment at your child's school, bullying, homework, student stress levels, school climate, and your child's overall educational experience, among other topics.

Why Your Feedback Matters

Student, Staff and Parent/Guardian-Centered Decision Making: IUSD is committed to making decisions that reflect the needs and expectations of the IUSD community. By participating in the Annual Survey, you have a direct voice in the planning and funding of the District’s goals and priorities.

Transparency and Accountability: This interactive process helps IUSD identify annual goals, take action on those goals, and measure progress on academic achievement, school climate and parent engagement as part of the 10-month LCAP process. It allows us to align our budget and educational goals while being accountable to our community.

Improved Student Outcomes: By understanding your concerns and priorities, we can make more informed decisions that lead to improved student outcomes. Your input helps us identify areas that are important for providing students with the highest quality educational experience we can envision.

How We Use Your Feedback

Schools use survey responses to meet the needs of their communities. They are also reviewed and used by the IUSD Board of Education, the Superintendent's leadership team and District staff to continually improve how we serve students and families.

Historically, IUSD has used the feedback and priorities identified in the Annual Survey to:

  • Make investments to improve teaching and learning and ensure the highest quality education we can envision for all students
  • Increase support for student mental health resources
  • Increase access to technology both in the classroom and at home, such as providing 1:1 devices for all students
  • Support staff by developing and implementing professional learning
