The County Committee on School District Organization held a public hearing at IUSD’s Administration Office on June 20 at 6 p.m. and approved the by-trustee area election method and the selected trustee area map, which will be in place for the November 2018 election.

The IUSD Board of Education, which has been engaged in an extensive process to consider transitioning to a by-trustee area election method, voted to transition from the current at-large election method during the May 29 Board Meeting. 
Loma Ridge Elementary School will be the District’s 24th elementary school and is expected to open August 2019.  This state-of-the-art education facility will serve the Portola Springs neighborhood in north Irvine. 
Today, IUSD announced its five 2018 Classified Employees of the Year – Dawn Jan, Leanne Lauritzen, Jason Nakatani, Kimberly Quon, and Zeb Samson.
