The Irvine Unified School District is happy to announce upcoming dates for 2022 summer programs. The programs include a K-12 Summer Learning Recovery Academy, Acceleration and Enrichment courses for high school students and Middle School Math Bridge, K-6 English Learner (EL) Learning Recovery Academy, and Special Education Extended School Year (ESY).

K-12 Summer Learning Recovery Academy (In-person and invitation only for the Elementary and Middle school programs)
The Learning Recovery Academy replaces the traditional summer school program and is designed for students needing additional support in one or more of the following areas: mathematics, language arts, English language development, Social Science (high school only), Science (high school only), and high school credit recovery.
- Elementary: June 9 - July 8 (July 4 & 5 off) @ Cypress Village, Stonegate and Eastshore
- Middle School: June 9 -July 8 (July 4 & 5 off) @ Lakeside and Jeffrey Trail
- High School: June 9 -July 21 (July 4 & 5 off) @ University High School and Virtual (Acceleration and Enrichment)
Acceleration and Enrichment (Virtual)
The Acceleration and Enrichment Academy is designed for students wanting to accelerate and complete a course for original credit. The High School Math Bridge course is designed for current math 2 students recommended for and electing to accelerate their math pathway within IUSD. - Middle School Math Bridge: June 6-July 1 Virtual with in-person assessments
K-6 English Learner (EL) Learning Recovery Academy (In-person and by invitation only)
This Learning Recovery Academy focuses on the rapid acquisition of reasonable oral language fluency for English learners at the emerging/beginning levels of English proficiency.
- Elementary: June 9 -July 8 (July 4 & 5 off) @ Stonegate
- Middle School: June 9-July 8 (July 4 & 5 off) @ Lakeside
Special Education Extended School Year (ESY) (In-person and virtual; invitation only)
Extended School Year offers continued learning for Special Education Students.
- Elementary ESY: June 9 -July 8 (July 4 & 5 off) @ Eastshore and Cypress Village
- Middle School ESY: June 9 -July 8 (July 4 & 5 off) @ Jeffrey Trail
- High School ESY: June 9 - July 8 (July 4 & 5 off) @ University
- Irvine Adult Transition Program ESY: June 9 - July 8 (July 4 & 5 off) @ IATP
