The Irvine Unified School District is happy to announce upcoming dates for 2021 summer programs. The programs include a K-12 Summer Learning Recovery Academy, Acceleration and Enrichment courses for high school students and Middle School Math Bridge, K-6 English Learner (EL) Learning Recovery Academy, and Special Education Extended School Year (ESY).

K-12 Summer Learning Recovery Academy (In-person and invitation only for the Elementary and Middle school programs)
The Learning Recovery Academy replaces the traditional summer school program and is designed for students needing additional support in one or more of the following areas: mathematics, language arts, or English language development, and high school credit recovery.
- Elementary School: June 21-July 20 (July 2 & 5 off) at Cypress Village and Springbrook Elementary Schools
- Middle School: June 21-July 20 (July 2 & 5 off) at Lakeside and Jeffrey Trail Middle Schools
- High School: June 21-July 30 (July 2 & 5 off) at Woodbridge High School
Acceleration and Enrichment (Virtual)
The Acceleration and Enrichment Academy replaces the traditional summer school program at San Joaquin and is designed for students wanting to accelerate and complete a course for original credit. The High School Math Bridge course is designed for current math 2 students recommended for and electing to accelerate their math pathway within Irvine Unified School District. The Middle School Math Bridge course is available to incoming 8th grade students who meet eligibility requirements. https://iusd.org/about/departments/education-services/academics/stem/mathematics

- High School Math Bridge: June 21-July 30 (July 2 & 5 Off) Virtual with in-person assessments July 6/7, July 20/21, and July 29/30.
- Middle School Math Bridge: June 22-July 20 (July 2 & 5 off) Virtual with in-person assessments on 7/1 and 7/20
K-6 English Learner (EL) Learning Recovery Academy (In-person and by invitation only)
This Learning Recovery Academy focuses on the rapid acquisition of reasonable oral language fluency for English learners at the emerging/beginning levels of English proficiency.
- Elementary: June 21-July 20 (July 2 & 5 off) at Stone Creek Elementary School
- Middle School: June 21-July 20 (July 2 & 5 off) at Lakeside Middle School
Special Education Extended School Year (ESY) (In-person and virtual; invitation only)
Extended School Year offers continued learning for Special Education Students.
- ECLC ESY +: June 21-July 20 (July 2 & 5 off) at the Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC)
- Elementary ESY: June 21-July 20 (July 2 & 5 off) at Meadow Park Elementary School
- Middle School ESY: June 21-July 20 (July 2 & 5 off) at Jeffrey Trail Middle School
- High School ESY: June 21-July 20 (July 2 & 5 off) at Woodbridge High School
- Irvine Adult Transition Program (IATP) ESY: June 21- July 20 (July 2 & 5 off) at IATP
