Gov. Newsom announced that schools in counties on the state’s monitoring list for rising coronavirus infections will be required to close for in-person instruction until they meet strict criteria to reopen. All OC school districts, including IUSD, will be required to start the school year in a distance learning format unless conditions in OC improve.

Governor Newsom will provide an update on COVID-19 guidance for schools today, July 17, at noon. His announcement will broadcast on several major news stations and live stream on the Governor’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. If you are able, we encourage you to watch his update.
IUSD 2020-21 Academic Models and Selection Process

Important Update: The IUSD Board of Education approved academic models for the 2020-21 school year and voted to require face coverings/masks. Families have until  Sunday, July 19 to make academic model selections. Information and process described here.
