Superintendent Walker's end of year message includes updates, links to resources and a tribute to the Class of 2020.
Friday, June 5 is the last day IUSD meals will be served for the 2019-20 school year.  Pick-ups this Friday will be at the same times and locations.  For families who need food assistance  and other community resources over the summer break, read this article for more information.  
Due to the COVID-19 crisis, children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals at school will get extra food benefits through California’s Pandemic EBT or P-EBT program.
IUSD schools continued recognizing the Class of 2020, including promoting 6th and 8th grade students, along with graduating seniors.
Now more than ever, during uncertain and stressful times, it’s important to manage anxiety and stress, practice self-care and keep up with healthy habits. Making a small change can positively impact your health and wellbeing. 
Last week, Superintendent Walker announced the launch of Optimistic Household  to connect our students and families with helpful resources that support learning and social emotional wellbeing at the highest levels for students.  Module 1 of this six-part series is now available.

While this summer may be different than ones before, there are still plenty of activities to look forward to and plan for this upcoming summer break. Here are some tips and suggestions for enjoying this summer!
There was lots of Good News Around the District from May 18-22!  IUSD celebrated our classified employees, recognized outstanding student and teacher achievements, and was wowed by digital performances, among many other great happenings! 
IUSD Chromebooks that were checked out for Emergency Distance Learning this Spring were due on June 12th. Please see these instructions for makeup returns.
