While District Chromebooks or devices are not needed to access Emergency Distance Learning (EDL) they are available for students who do not have access to devices at home.  

IUSD started the month off right on Monday, March 2, 2020 by focusing on literacy and reading for Read Across America Day. To celebrate this day, each year several District schools invite special guests to read their favorite children’s books to elementary students.

IUSD is opening the San Joaquin K-6 Blended Learning Elementary School starting in the 2020-21 School Year, as part of the District's independent study program. To sign up on the interest list and for more information, click on this article.

IUSD is hosting our annual College and Career Fair at Portola High School in the gym on March 16 from 6-8 p.m. During this free event, IUSD students and families will have the opportunity to meet with more than 40 college and university representatives to explore a variety of career pathways.

Today, IUSD also announced the four 2019-20 Teachers of Promise given to first- or second-year instructors, who go above and beyond, while demonstrating professional curiosity and an unbridled enthusiasm for teaching.
