More than 30 students from IUSD's high schools traveled to Sacramento to discuss issues impacting education with state legislators and other influential policymakers. 
In addition to Denan's prestigious award, Gayatri Sivakoti and Cameron Weng were also contest finalists.
The District's Abilities Awareness event, originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 15, has been rescheduled to Wednesday, April 26 from 5-7:30 p.m. at Northwood High School.

Sierra Vista’s Science Olympiad team hosted a Science Olympiad invitational at Beacon Park School in which 76 elementary and middle school teams from California and Texas, including 28 IUSD teams competed. 
The ranking is based on factors such as academics, teachers, clubs and activities, diversity, college prep, athletics, and administration.
