IUSD wants your feedback on the Annual Survey, which closes Thursday, February 15.
IUSD would like feedback from our parent community on the 2019-20 school calendars for both traditional and year-round schools.  
Portola High School, which opened in August 2016, has received two prestigious awards representing the "pinnacle of design and construction achievement."
During the January 23 Board Meeting, the Irvine Company presented IUSD with a check for $2 million as part of the Excellence in Education Enrichment Fund grant, which supports art, music and science education for Irvine Unified School District students in grades 4-6.
The IUSD Board of Education unanimously approved the name, Loma Ridge Elementary School for the District’s soon-to-be 24th Elementary school.
IUSD's Annual Survey seeks parent and student feedback about school climate and where resources are focused through the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) to ensure that IUSD continues to effectively serve students.  
During the December 12 Irvine Unified School District Board Meeting, the Board selected a new president and clerk, which are one-year terms. 
Topics addressed by Superintendent Walker included student centered learning, funding, staff, teaching and learning, facilities, and technology.  
Last week, Oct. 23-27, IUSD schools celebrated Red Ribbon Week, a week in which awareness is raised around drug prevention and making healthy choices. This year’s theme in Irvine was “Your Future is Key, Who Will You Be?”
Assistant Superintendent of Education Services Cassie Parham received the Excellence in Leadership Award from the Irvine Public Schools Foundation (IPSF) at the 8th Annual Spirit of Excellence Gala and Auction.
