During the December 12, 2023 Irvine Unified School District Board of Education Meeting, the Board selected Cyril Yu to serve as the new Board President and Paul Bokota to serve as Board Clerk, which are one-year terms.

IUSD's state standardized assessment scores have outperformed both state and Orange County averages with the District ranking No. 1 in California in Science, Mathematics and English Language Arts/Literacy.
