IUSD’s Nutrition Services is serving daily grab-and-go meals at all school sites. Meals are available for purchase or as part of the free and reduced meal program for students who qualify. Please see this article for more information, including meal pick-ups and community resources.
IUSD schools will communicate detailed information about Chromebook pickups directly with families.  Chromebooks will be checked out from students’ neighborhood/assigned schools, including students who are enrolled in the IUSD Virtual Academy.
Now that academic model selections are closed, schools will begin scheduling for the fall, including allocation of staff and resources to meet the needs of our students and families. Gov. Newsom announced that schools in counties on the state’s monitoring list for rising coronavirus infections will be required to close for in-person instruction until they meet strict criteria to reopen. Governor Newsom will provide an update on COVID-19 guidance for schools today, July 17, at noon. His announcement will broadcast on several major news stations and live stream on the Governor’s Facebook and Twitter accounts. If you are able, we encourage you to watch his update.
Important Update: The IUSD Board of Education approved academic models for the 2020-21 school year and voted to require face coverings/masks. Families have until  Sunday, July 19 to make academic model selections. Information and process described here.
