We use Edjoin.org for all applications. We have separate applications for external candidates and current IUSD employees seeking transfer opportunities. Typically, the same position will be open to external and internal candidates in two separate postings on Edjoin.

 

Before you begin the online application process for employment, you will need to compile the necessary documents and certifications required for your job posting of interest. The following are some general examples of employment requirements. Specific requirements will be listed with each job posting on EdJoin.

All documents must be uploaded and attached to your IUSD EdJoin Application. Only documents saved as a PDF can be uploaded into the EdJoin system. Emailed, hand-delivered, or mailed documents will not be accepted.

Substitute Teachers

Instructional Assistants

Substitute school psychologists and speech language pathologists (SLPs and SLPAs)

 

All applicants applying for teaching positions will be required to provide the following documents.

• Transcripts showing completion of Bachelor's degree and student teaching
• Three letters of recommendation
• Resume

 

All applicants applying for instructional assistant positions will be required to provide the following documents with a passing score.

• CBEST
• SAT - Score of at least 550 in Math and 500 in English
• ACT - Score of at least 23 in Math and 22 in English

 

 

All applicants applying for clerical positions will be required to provide an IUSD typing test score or a typing certificate from another agency that meets the following criteria.

 

• Minimum of 3 minutes in length
• Net words per minute reported

 

If you have taken a typing test with IUSD in the past and need your typing test results, please email . IUSD hosts typing tests Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Typing tests are scheduled every 30 minutes. Please call Human Resources at (949) 936-5130 to schedule an appointment.
