Congratulations are in order for University High coach John Kessler, who’s been named the Southern California Coach of the Year in Boys' Tennis by the California Coaches Association. The CCA has been honoring coaches throughout the state for the past 57 years. According to its website, the organization's mission is to “provide a professional organization uniting all coaches in California, dedicated to maintaining the highest possible standards for athletic competition and coaching conditions in California.” Kessler and his fellow honorees from Northern and Southern California are set to be honored at the CCA Coach of the Year Banquet in Sacramento on June 14.
