Coinciding with the opening of a new health club, the Irvine Public Schools Foundation is encouraging the public to attend its latest “iShop” event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Crossroads shopping center in Irvine.

Customers who spend $75 or more during that window are encouraged to present their receipts near the center’s courtyard for a complimentary gift bag and a $5 gift card. Crossroads will then make a $10 donation on behalf of each customer to IPSF, which supports schools in IUSD. Meanwhile, the day is set to kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Irvine's new LA Fitness, with IUSD Board of Education President Mike Parham, Mayor Sukhee Kang and Councilmember Steven Choi scheduled to attend. We’re told there will also be live music, face-painting for kids, dancers, fitness activities and more. For more information on IPSF events, check out the foundation’s website.
