The Irvine Unified School District is pleased to announce that Scott Sodorff has been named Principal of Lakeside Middle School. Mr. Sodorff was selected from a talented candidate pool with input and participation from the Lakeside staff and parent community.
Mr. Sodorff is an experienced IUSD educator and is currently an assistant principal at Woodbridge High School. He has also served as a distinguished high school and middle school teacher during his sixteen years in education. In the coming weeks, Scott will work closely with current Lakeside Principal, Gina Cuneo, who is retiring, to make sure that the transition in leadership is smooth and effective.
Scott and his wife Jamie have both been educators in IUSD for more than ten years. They have three children, Isabella (9), Calen (6) and Atticus (4). They enjoy traveling and taking part in all the activities that go along with having young children.
Scott is eager to join a dedicated Lakeside staff as they continue to enhance student learning through collaboration and a focus on high-quality instruction.
