Turtle Rock Elementary School is experiencing an unplanned power outage this morning, impacting lights, phones and Internet service.
The outage, attributed to equipment failure by Southern California Edison, began late last night. Edison says it hopes to have electricity restored by about 1 p.m. this afternoon.
In the meantime, IUSD’s Maintenance and Operations department has brought in generators to power classrooms, restrooms, Nutrition Services facilities and other essential services. School staff reports that instruction is in progress as usual.
