Cluster of quakes jostles Irvine but causes no damage to schools

A cluster of earthquakes has struck in the Yorba Linda area and shaken

parts of Irvine, but there have been no reports of damages at any IUSD schools. "Just a little more anxiety," said Joe Hoffman, the district's director of Maintenance and Operations. The quakes started Tuesday night and have continued through today, including two of a magnitude higher than 4. Experts predict there will be more aftershocks, according to the Los Angeles Times website, which has more information. Irvine's four year-round schools are currently in session. Sept. 5 marks the first day of school for campuses on the traditional calendar.
