The quakes started Tuesday night and have continued through today, including two of a magnitude higher than 4. Experts predict there will be more aftershocks, according to the Los Angeles Times website, which has more information. Irvine's four year-round schools are currently in session. Sept. 5 marks the first day of school for campuses on the traditional calendar.
