One tool aligned with the District's overarching goal of continuous improvement is Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID), a research-based school-wide system that prepares students for college, career, and life readiness.

University High School's Science Bowl and Ocean Science Bowl teams placed first at the recent regional competitions held at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena.

IUSD students shined during the District’s 43rd Annual Science Fair! More than 300 projects were submitted by students in grades 6-12 with nearly 200 advancing to the OC Science and Engineering Fair.

Nearly 250 IUSD students, from elementary through high school grade levels, were selected to join the Southern California School Band and Orchestra Association (SCSBOA) Honor Groups.
