September is Attendance Awareness Month, and IUSD would like to remind our parents and families of the importance of consistent school attendance and the impact of chronic absenteeism on student success.

What is Chronic Absenteeism?

The IUSD and Irvine communities are invited to join "Communities Come Together Irvine," an evening dedicated to safety education and community engagement.

In the recently released U.S. News & World Report rankings of “Best High Schools,” all five of IUSD’s comprehensive high schools were ranked within the top 5% of all California high schools.
During this event, you’ll have the chance to sit down one-on-one with students for 10-15 minute consultations, offering your expertise and advice on their science fair ideas.

In August, Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) leaders, educators, and staff came together for professional learning days, focused on the responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education.

Please take a moment to read this message from Superintendent Cassie Parham, which includes back-to-school reminders and a preview of our August edition of IUSD Insights. The traditional school year starts on Tuesday, August 19.

IUSD is dedicated to fostering open, two-way communication with our community. Surveys play a crucial role in this effort, providing us with valuable insights into your experiences and needs. Your feedback directly influences how we enhance the quality of the supports and services we offer.

Are you planning for this school year and looking for after-school or childcare programs? In collaboration with our community partners, IUSD has several programs available for our community.
We would like to remind our community that they can adjust language and accessibility preferences on the platforms used for District and school communications.
As we get ready for the new school year, all IUSD families must complete Data Confirmation through the Parent Portal. Parents will receive a confirmation email when the data confirmation is complete.
