Major Projects
The District contracts in accordance with the legal requirements of the Education Code, Government Code, and administrative rules and regulations of the State Allocation Board, State Department of Education, Office of the State Architect, County Counsel and other regulatory agencies.
All contracts of $15,000 or greater must by law be advertised for bid and are awarded to the lowest responsible bidder.
Change orders resulting from unforeseen conditions, including time delays and rulings of regulatory agencies are routinely reviewed and administratively approved pending formal Board Approval. Individual items are aggregated to minimize the number of formal Change Orders.
Minor Projects
Projects which cost under $8,000 are accomplished by Purchase Order Agreements after receiving quotations from one or more contractors.
