The Woodbridge High School Percussion Ensemble will cap the year with its final performance at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 10, in the school’s theater. And what a year it’s been. Playing with precision and purpose, Woodbridge was the top-performing percussion ensemble in the state, drawing comparisons to seasoned college squads. While the Warriors didn’t participate in the world championships in Dayton, Ohio, they were ranked No. 1 nationally during the season, and they hold the distinction of beating the team that ultimately claimed the title in Ohio. “When we participate in the festivals, the professional adjudicators are just amazed that these are high school students performing literature at this level,” said Director Joslynne Blasdel.
