Just a friendly reminder that the Irvine Unified Council PTA is hosting its Candidates Forum for this year's IUSD Board of Education race beginning at 7 p.m. tonight. Free and open to the public, the forum will be held in the Board Room of the District Office, located at 5050 Barranca Parkway in Irvine. It will also be broadcast live on Channel 39. Three candidates are running for two seats in the Nov. 2 election. Incumbent Sharon Wallin is the current Board president, fellow incumbent Dr. Gavin Huntley-Fenner is a scientist and challenger Jodie Lu Stout Hoffman is an education evaluation consultant.
