Northwood High recognizes scholarship winners
During a meeting of its spring athletes last week, Northwood High School recognized a handful of Timberwolves who have earned scholarships to play sports at major universities next year. Pictured from left to right are: Zachary Weiss, who will be playing baseball at UCLA; Parker Simmons, who will play water polo at Concordia University; Morgan Sprosty, who has earned a swimming scholarship from Ohio University; Lindsay Gankema, who received a scholarship to play soccer at the
University of California, Santa Barbara; Carly Singer, who will play soccer at Chico State University; Paige Gankema, who also won a soccer scholarship from UCSB; and Ariana Morrison, who will play softball at Oklahoma State.
