As we mentioned a few weeks back, the Irvine Unified School District is working with corporate partners to install solar panels at a number of sites, and some are nearing completion. Not only will the clean and silent panels save the district a significant amount of money over time, but they’ll also become part of IUSD’s curriculum on renewable energy, allowing students to immediately monitor their own usage.
