IUSD and Hoag to Host Gaming, Social Media and Mental Wellness Presentation

In partnership with Hoag Hospital, the Irvine Unified School District (IUSD) has developed the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Speaker Series.  Below are details about this free event that is open to the public (16+ recommended).  No RSVP needed.  Click here to view the event flier.

In this session, speakers will discuss the impacts excessive gaming and social media can have on children and teens, including irritability, depression and anxiety.  Parents will learn to recognize the differences between normal behaviors and potentially harmful ones and what they can do to support their children.  There will be a question and answer period at the end of the presentation.
