This year marked the final season for legendary Irvine High School football coach Terry Henigan, who retired after a stellar 40-year career, including the last 29 with the Vaqueros. One can only guess at the number of motivational speeches Henigan delivered over that span. But on Saturday, it was time for former players, colleagues and supporters to express a few poignant words of their own to the revered coach and athletic director, who was the subject of a special five-hour tribute at IHS.
