The Irvine and University high school football teams are set to square off at 7 p.m. Friday at Irvine Stadium. The game is the Pacific Coast League opener, but for students, staff and fans of both programs, the bigger story is the return of Uni coach Mark Cunningham, who missed four months while undergoing treatment for throat cancer.
