IRVINE - Students from all middle schools in Irvine attended the 19th Annual Middle School Science Career Options Conference at UCI on Tuesday. The nearly 400 students attended four sessions which they picked from a variety of topics ranging from biology, dentistry, and engineering, to stem cell research, physics, and robotics.The classes were taught by UCI professors, as well as 18 professionals in the community who volunteered their time, including speakers from Hughes Aircraft, Broadcom, Orange County Crime Lab, and Children's Hospital of Orange.
The conference was organized by Mark Sontag, IUSD Curriculum Coordinator.
